HOW WE WORK

Ride Irish is run by Chuck Brizzel, an experienced equine agent. Chuck travels regularly to Ireland to personally select horses for temperament and conformation. He has long-established relationships with proven sources in Ireland, and acquires many of his horses direct from farmers and private owners, rather than through the auction sales.

TRYING HORSES
We encourage all buyers to try any horse they are interested in without obligation, and we provide excellent facilities for doing so. We have an indoor and outdoor school, both with jumps; hacking in bridal paths and woods; and a stretch of road with good visibility where a horse's behaviour in traffic can be assessed.


VETTING
You are welcome to have any horse you are interested in checked by your own vet.

RESERVES/DEPOSITS
If you wish to reserve a horse (which means we won't sell him to anyone else), a deposit of £200 CASH is required. We have been forced to introduce this as a result of the many people who put in "firm" offers but then change their minds weeks later, resulting in lost time and money. The reserve deposit is refundable if the horse fails a vet inspection. PLEASE NOTE: a deposit is valid for ONE WEEK ONLY. We have new buyers looking for horses at all times, and we cannot hold horses longer than a week.

PART EXCHANGES
We occasionally do part exchanges, but only in cases where the cash portion is 50% or more of the price.

RETURNS
Once a horse passes its vet's exam, we regard the horse as sold, and we have no legal obligation to take it back. However, we do not want a customer to have a horse that doesn't suit them, so we will always try to exchange an unsuitable horse for one of equivalent value within one month of the date of sale.
